Invitation letter
The invitation letter can be from a family member or a friend. If the person that you’re visiting is paying for your trip it should be stated in the letter. Please note that the person sending the invitation letter does not have to sign it. This can be scanned and sent to your email or Expedite Travel Service email. The person doesn’t need to mail down the documents. Mailing down the documents will take too long.
Passport front page (citizen)
The person sending the invitation letter will need to send you a copy of their passport front page if they are a citizen. This can be scanned and sent to your email or to our email at Expedite Travel Services
Permanent Resident (PR)

If you are a registered business owner you should provide a Business Registration Certificate from The Companies Office of Jamaica.
Status letter
Obtain a status letter from the educational institution you are currently attending.

Bank statement/ 4-months bank printout
Bank Statement is a common concern among applicants. Everyone wants to know the amount of money they should have in their bank account before applying for a Canadian Visa. It is important to note that visa application approval is not solely dependent on the amount of money in your bank account. A person with JMD 50,000 in their account can get their visa approved; while a person with JMD $100,000 in their account gets denied. The recommended amount to have on your bank statement should be approximately JMD $80,000. If you do not have any money in your account, you can get a four (4) months transactional history of your bank account once you have money going into your account monthly. Most applicants that get a Canadian visa application approved have less than JMD $100,000 in their accounts. The recommended amount to have on your bank statement is approximately JMD $80,000.
You don’t need to have a bank statement if your family or friends in Canada is paying for your trip. They will be required to send you a bank statement or a four (4) months transactional history of their bank account along with their job letter. One(1) recent digital photograph
The frame size must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″). The photographs must show the full front view of the head, with the face in the middle of the photograph, and include the top of the shoulders. The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31 mm (1 1/4″) and 36 mm (1 7/16″). Ask the photographer who takes your photo to send a copy to our email (expeditetravelservice@gmail.com).
Bank statement
Bank Statement is a common concern among applicants. Everyone wants to know how much money they should have in their bank account before applying for a Canadian Visa. In all honesty, it’s not all about the amount of money in your bank account. A person with JMD 50,000 in their account can get their visa approved, while a person with JMD 100,000 in their account gets denied. The recommended amount to have on your bank statement should be roughly 80,000. If you don’t have any money in your account, you can get a four (4) months transactional history of your bank account once you have money going into your account monthly. Most applicants that get a Canadian visa barely have JMD 100,000 in their account. The recommended amount to have on your bank statement should be roughly JMD 80,000.

You can apply for the Canada Visitor’s Visa by applying through us “Online” or “In-Office. Please see more details below:

Complete our online form using either your phone, laptop, desktop or tablet and click submit. This will send your information to us.
3. We complete your application
After we complete your visa application, we will send it to your email so that you can check it for error. If you found any mistake, we will make the necessary changes and have you recheck it.

Once you verify that your application is correctly filled out, we will pay the visa fee and submit your visa application to Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada. After we submit your application and pay the visa fee, you will receive a confirmation email to do a biometric. A biometric allow visa officers to screen applicants for prior criminal convictions.
As soon as you received the email to get your biometric done, we will schedule an appointment for you. The biometric is done at the Canadian visa application Centre nearest to you. On the morning of your appointment, you should take your passport and the biometric letter that you received in your email. After you get your biometric done, you can log on to your account that was created on Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada to check your application status on a day to day basis, or we will check it for you and update you regularly.
When Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada finish processing your application, they will send you an email to let you know if your visa is approved or denied. If your visitor visa is approved, you will have to send your passport with DHL to the embassy.

2. Bring the necessary information
Ensure you have all the information needed to complete your application before visiting the office. The information needed are stated below as follows:
Spouse’s full name, date of birth, address, and occupation. Spouse information is needed if you are married or in a common-law relationship.
Parents full name, marital status, date of birth, address, and occupation. Even if your parents are deceased, we will still need their name for the application process. If you don’t know anything about your parent, you can apply without their information as this will not reduce your chances of getting your visa approved.
Children full name, marital status, date of birth, address and occupation. Even If your children are deceased, we will still need their name for the application process.
Step-children full name, marital status, date of birth, address and occupation. Whether your stepchild/stepchildren are living with you or not, their information is still required. However, if you don’t know anything about your step child/children, you can apply without their information. This will not reduce your chance of getting your visa approved.
We will need the name of the last two (2) companies you worked for including the: address, job title, employment start date and end date. If you don’t remember all the information about your previous employment, you can apply without it. This will not reduce your chances of getting your visa approved.
3. Visit the office
When visiting the office bring the required documents and the necessary information to complete your application.

Visa Granted V.S. Visa Denied
This is a scenario demonstrating two(2) applicant, one being granted the visa V.S. the other being denied based on ties to home country
Mr. Blake was granted a Canadian visa by demonstrating strong ties to his home country.
Mr. Blake is currently living with his common-law spouse and 3 children for six (6) years. Mr. Blake is self-employed for over seven (7) years. When Mr. Blake applied for a Canadian visa, he submitted the following supporting documents:
- A bank statement with JMD $80,000 account balance.
- A Letter from a Justice of Peace (JP) with over $150,000 in monthly earnings.
- An invitation letter and permanent resident card from a Canadian resident.
- Car title
Mr. Blake was granted a Canadian visa because of his strong ties to Jamaica based on the information provided on his application along with his supporting documents. These ties include: living with his common-law spouse and his kids for over six years and working as a vendor for three years. With these ties and being able to finance his trip independently, Mr. Blake was able to convince the visa officer that he would return to his home country at the end of his trip.
Mr. Morgan was denied a Canadian visa based on the fact that his ties were weak.
Mr. Morgan is single, currently living with his parents, and currently employed as a school teacher for one (1) month. When Mr. Morgan applied for a Canadian visa, he submitted the following documents:
- A bank statement with 100,000 account balance
- Job letter with a salary of a $120,000 monthly
- An invitation letter and permanent resident card from a Canadian resident.
- Car title & Insurance certificate
Mr. Morgan was denied a Canadian visa because he did not demonstrate to the visa officer that he has strong ties to Jamaica based on the information provided on his application. In reality, a visitor visa is not difficult to attain, however, a lot of people overstayed their visit resulting in the thorough scrutiny of visa applications by visa officers to ensure that there are enough ties to compel you to return home at the end of your short stay. Although Mr. Morgan is a teacher, he did not have as strong family ties as Mr. Blake. Mr. Morgan is single (no strong family ties) and living with his parents.

While, at the same time, the person with $100,000 in their account can substantiate how they acquired the funds in their account. Though the visa officer wants to know that you can pay for your trip to Canada, they still want to see how you acquired the funds in your account. Notably, if they suspect that you borrowed the funds in your account to obtain a visa, they will deny you.

As such, they will thoroughly review your visa application and the circumstances surrounding your travel plans, as well as other ties to your home country. Strong ties may vary from person to person; they generally include your job, house, family, and assets. If you fail to convince the visa officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, they will deny you under the pretense that your ties to your home country are weak. Failure to provide all relevant supporting documents
